About

About

We didn't start as a train rental company. We started because we saw what one unexpected moment does to a room full of people. Northern Lights Express — the ride nobody skips.

Not at bad events. At good ones. Well-executed, professionally planned, perfectly catered. And forgettable.

The frustration wasn't incompetence. The events industry is full of talented, dedicated people. The frustration was the sameness. The same checklist, year after year. DJ. Photo booth. Open bar. Step and repeat. Everyone playing it safe because surprise felt like a risk — and risk felt like the enemy.

Then we witnessed something we couldn't stop thinking about. One unexpected thing showed up at an event. And within minutes, the entire energy of that room shifted. People who had nothing in common were laughing at the same thing. The CEO was pointing at the same thing as the intern's eight-year-old.

That moment became Northern Lights Express.

What we believe

Joy is not the cherry on top. It's not a nice-to-have.

It's the thing that makes everything else at your event worth remembering. The best event planners aren't the ones who execute the checklist flawlessly. They're the ones brave enough to put something on the checklist that nobody expected.

A trackless train that goes anywhere

No tracks. No infrastructure. No limitations. Northern Lights Express operates at corporate offices, school yards, shopping malls, festival grounds, wedding venues, and parking lots across Edmonton, Calgary, and BC. If there's a flat surface, the train can be there.
